Uttar Pradesh Police Distributes Financial Aid to Deceased and Disabled Officers' Families
The Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police, Rajeev Krishna, distributed Rs 41.60 crore to families of deceased and disabled police personnel. The financial aid was part of a Police Salary Package, facilitated through a partnership with Bank of Baroda, benefiting 27 families. The DGP assured ongoing support to the families.

In a significant move, the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna has extended financial assistance amounting to Rs 41.60 crore to support families of deceased and disabled police personnel. The beneficiaries received the aid under the Police Salary Package, a scheme facilitated by a memorandum of understanding with the Bank of Baroda.
The assistance, distributed in the form of cheques, reached a total of 27 families, comprising both the families of 22 police officers who died in the line of duty and five who were disabled. DGP Rajeev Krishna met with the families, extending condolences and affirming the department’s commitment to their welfare.
A particular case highlighted was that of Akash Singh, a constable with GRP Gonda, who tragically lost his legs while preventing a suspect's escape. His family has been granted Rs 1.5 crore in aid, showcasing the department’s resolve to support its personnel in crises.
