ED Officers Honored for Bravery in I-PAC Raid Case

Two Enforcement Directorate (ED) officers, Vikram Ahlawat and Prashant Chandila, were awarded for their 'exceptional competence' in a controversial raid against political consultancy I-PAC in Kolkata. The raid, related to West Bengal's election documents, drew significant attention and was challenged by the state's chief minister.

In a significant move, two officers from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) were celebrated for their bravery during a contentious raid on political consultancy firm I-PAC's premises in Kolkata. These officers received commendations for their exceptional work at the 70th ED Day event.

The raid, executed in January, escalated into an intense confrontation involving West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who arrived at the scene with police presence. This prompted an uproar, eventually leading the ED to seek intervention from the Calcutta High Court and the Supreme Court.

The officers, Vikram Ahlawat and Prashant Chandila, were recognized for their professionalism. Ahlawat maintained composure during sensitive operations, while Chandila showed remarkable courage, both ensuring the agency's actions were supported by solid evidence presented in court.
