In a pivotal moment for West Bengal, Governor R N Ravi lauded the people's dedication towards democracy, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) achieved a landmark victory in the state's assembly elections on Monday.
Expressing gratitude, Ravi highlighted the residents' unwavering determination to manifest the envisioned 'Sonar Bengal' and 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. He acknowledged their spirited participation in what he referred to as the 'festival of democracy'.
The BJP's triumph, with 111 seats and leading in 95 constituencies, marked their first major success in the state, while the ruling TMC managed 44 seats, leading in 37. The Governor's message also invoked the blessings of Mother Kali for continued progress and prosperity.
