A dramatic incident unfolded in Bhakrada village, Madhya Pradesh, where a tractor driver allegedly attempted to murder Mayank Phuleria, a revenue department official. The official was investigating illegal soil excavation when the driver reportedly tried to run him over.
Police said the event occurred on May 3. Phuleria, informed about the unauthorized excavation of 'murrum' on government land, discovered individuals transporting the soil to a poultry farm. Upon seeing the official, the tractor driver, identified as Kundan Rajput, allegedly drove toward him, then fled with other drivers.
Authorities found an earthmoving machine stuck at the site, which was seized and handed to the police. An FIR was registered for attempted murder and obstructing a public official, among other charges. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the accused.
