Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath unveiled the first phase of Census-2027, marking the launch of a digital housing and amenities survey. He emphasized that the census functions as a pivotal tool for inclusive planning and development.
Addressing a gathering, Adityanath highlighted the transformative potential of data-driven decisions. He stated that accurate census data will be instrumental in the efficient execution of infrastructure, education, and social welfare schemes.
The census involves two stages, beginning with house listing and housing information. Public participation is encouraged, allowing self-enumeration starting May 7, 2026. The subsequent phase will involve detailed individual and caste enumeration. Innovative technology supports the census process, ensuring wide coverage and precise data collection.
