Man arrested for raping elder sister in Jharkhand's Hazaribag

A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his elder sister in Jharkhands Hazaribag district, police said on Saturday. Barkagaon police stations officer-in-charge Deepak Singh said an FIR was registered based on the complaint lodged by the 23-year-old woman, following which the accused was arrested.

A 21-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his elder sister in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district, police said on Saturday. The woman's husband had gone out to buy medicines for their three-year-old child when her brother allegedly raped her, they said. The woman told police that she had asked her younger brother to stay at her house following the death of their mother a few months ago. Barkagaon police station's officer-in-charge Deepak Singh said an FIR was registered based on the complaint lodged by the 23-year-old woman, following which the accused was arrested. ''The survivor's medical examination is being conducted,'' he said. Police said the accused was produced before a court and remanded to judicial custody on Friday.
