Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has reiterated his government's commitment to enhancing the state's security and development, in line with the BJP's election manifesto.
In a symbolic gesture of homage, Sarma, accompanied by cabinet colleagues, paid tributes at the memorial of Assam's first CM, Gopinath Bordoloi, before starting work officially.
