A gruesome incident unfolded in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, where an eight-year-old boy was found murdered during a wedding celebration, police reported on Wednesday. The boy's throat had been slit, and his lifeless body was discovered in nearby bushes, raising concerns in the community.
The young victim, identified as Laxman Nishad's son, attended a wedding function in Majhara Taukli village but never returned home. His disappearance prompted a search, ultimately leading to the tragic discovery of his blood-soaked body. Villagers suspect an old vendetta may be the motive behind this horrific act.
Superintendent of Police Vishwajeet Srivastava revealed that a case has been registered following a complaint by the family, identifying certain locals. Forensic teams, along with a dog squad, are probing the crime scene. Police have detained one suspect and are on the hunt for other accomplices as they evaluate all possible angles, ensuring enhanced security in the village.
