Family Trio Arrested for Assaulting RPF Constable at Kalyan Station
A 57-year-old man and his two sons were arrested for attacking a Railway Protection Force constable who attempted to resolve a commuter dispute at Kalyan station. The constable was hospitalized, and the suspects were charged under laws protecting public servants from assault.

A 57-year-old man, Abdulmani Kallu Sheikh, along with his sons Salman Abdulmani Sheikh and Sarkar Abdulmani Sheikh, have been taken into custody following an altercation with a Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable in Thane district on Thursday.
The incident unfolded at Kalyan station when the constable was called to address a commuter complaint, resulting in the trio allegedly assaulting the officer. Onlookers intervened and restrained the attackers, allowing the injured constable to be taken to the hospital.
Authorities confirmed the arrest of the three under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, citing charges of causing harm to a public servant and related offences. Investigations are ongoing to get to the crux of the commuter dispute that led to this violent outburst.
