Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister, C Joseph Vijay, will journey to New Delhi on May 22 to engage in talks with prominent leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to an informed source on Monday.
This trip marks Vijay's first official visit to the capital as Chief Minister, where he aims to spotlight the persistent issue of Tamil Nadu fishermen facing hostility from the Sri Lankan coast guard. He is scheduled to meet External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to discuss this pressing concern.
Moreover, Chief Minister Vijay plans to appeal for central assistance for various developmental challenges during his discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
