In a tragic incident, a man from Odisha's Ganjam district lost his life due to a drone attack in Moscow, reportedly carried out by Ukraine. The victim, identified as A Rameya, had moved to Russia a month ago seeking employment opportunities.
The attack occurred on Sunday, leaving Rameya's family devastated as they were informed about the tragedy by his friend in Russia. The family reached out to the Ganjam district authorities for help in bringing his mortal remains back home. District Collector Keerthi Vasan V confirmed efforts are underway, with assistance from the Resident Commissioner's office in Delhi.
Efforts to expedite repatriation of Rameya's body are currently in full swing, leveraging diplomatic channels and the Indian Embassy's support to ensure a swift resolution to the grievous situation.
