Head Constable Ankush Dhama of Kamla Market police station in Delhi was apprehended by the vigilance unit for allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 20,000. The complainant reported the threat and bribery demand, leading to a sting operation that resulted in Dhama's arrest.

The complainant, involved in a dispute, claimed that Dhama pressured him for money even after a settlement had been reached. The accused initially demanded Rs 1.5 lakh, which was negotiated down to Rs 1 lakh. An audio recording and a set trap confirmed the corrupt activity, leading to his arrest under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
