Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has strongly criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi following Gandhi's claims of irregularities in the CBSE examination system. Pradhan attributed these assertions to Gandhi's frustration over electoral setbacks, and accused Gandhi of opposing India's technological progression.
Gandhi has demanded a judicial inquiry and the formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) regarding what he has termed as a 'scam' linked to the CBSE examination evaluation method. He specifically pointed to a contract awarded to a company with a questionable history as the cause of the controversy.
In response, Pradhan assured that the CBSE acted in line with government policies and emphasized that any irregularities found would be addressed. He urged that student stress not escalate due to these issues and noted that a re-evaluation process would commence to rectify any discrepancies.
The Education Minister acknowledged certain issues with the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, implemented large-scale for the first time, yet insisted on its potential for greater evaluation transparency. Meanwhile, Gandhi's persistent concerns echo mounting student grievances over mismatched answer sheets.
