Following a tragic building collapse near Saket Metro station, which resulted in four deaths, two engineers from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) have been suspended. The suspension was enacted due to alleged failures in their supervisory duties concerning the structure's safety.
The building, located on Western Marg and housing various establishments, crumbled on Saturday during ongoing construction work. This triggered extensive rescue efforts involving local and national emergency services. The search and rescue were executed using advanced equipment and were concluded when all trapped individuals were accounted for. The cause of the collapse is still under investigation.
