Three killed in accident

Three members of a family were killed when a speeding truck overturned and rammed into their shop housed in a tin shed, police said Wednesday. Additional Superintendent of Police Shivji Shukla said the incident took place on Tuesday night at Tina village on the Lucknow-Varanasi road.

The accident took place when the driver of the truck lost control over the vehicle and rammed into a tin shed shop, killing three persons on the spot, police said. The deceased have been identified as Surendra Verma (47), his wife Chandrakali (45) and son Angad (21).

Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem.
