Martyred CRPF jawan's family hails IAF strike on JeM terror camp Kalabari, Feb 26 (PTII) The family of Assam's CRPF personnel Maneshwar Basumatari martyred in Pulwama terror attack hailed the Indian Air Force strike on a JeM terror camp in Pakistan Tuesday and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for avenging the attack. The slain CRPF head constable's wife Sunmati Basumatari told reporters at Kalabari in Baksa district, "my husband's soul will now rest in peace. Even we are at peace now. We saw about the strike in TV today." Basumatri's nephew Kamal Boro said, We are thankful to Modi. Its great news. His soul will rest in peace.

47-year old Basumatari was among the 40 CRPF jawans killed in the terror attack at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14 and is survived by his wife Sunmati and children Dhananjay and Didmaswari. Didmaswari, pursuing her graduation course in a local college, mourning the death of her father during his funeral here on February 16 had demanded that a befitting reply be given to those responsible for the Pulwama terror attack "that snatched away my father. Only if the Government of India takes action against his killers will my father's soul rest in peace".

The CRPF jawan's teenaged son Dhananjay also echoing his sister's demand had said, "Give a befitting reply to the cowards responsible for the Pulwama terror attack even if that means carrying out surgical strikes across the border. We want justice. The perpetrators must be punished for killing my father, our jawans "..
