Man injured in lightning strike in Meghalaya

A 21-year old man was injured in West Garo Hills district on Monday when lightning struck him, police said
The man resident of Chanupara village was transferred to the Tura Civil Hospital early this morning and is currently out of danger. He, however, suffered burns on his face and parts of his body during the lightning strike, they said
"He was struck by lightning this morning and rushed to Tura Civil Hospital where he is recuperating from his injuries. He is currently out of danger," said superintendent of police, Dr MGR Kumar.
