2 cloth merchants held with fake notes in Thane

Two cloth merchants fromUlhasnagar township in Maharashtra's Thane district werearrested for possessing fake currency, police said Monday

Acting on a tip-off, Crime Branch Unit V nabbed AmjadIbrahim Sheikh (38) and Ashok Keni (58) from Veer SavarkarNagar area with counterfeit notes with a face value of Rs6,000, Senior Inspector Jairaj Ranavre said

"We are probing where they got the fake currency fromand how they planned to disburse it," he said.
