Light rains in parts of Rajasthan

Parts of Rajasthan received light rains, a Meteorological Department official said Saturday. Between Friday and Saturday, Nagaur's Ladnoo recorded 10 cm rainfall followed by Chittorgarh's Gangrar (9 cm), Sujangarh (8 cm), Begu in Chittorgarh, Sambhar and Didwana (6 cm each), the official said.

Various places recorded 4 to 5 cm rainfall during the period. On Saturday, Jaipur recorded 1.68 cm rainfall, followed by Dabok (1.15 cm), Jodhpur (0.5 cm) and Ajmer (0.1 cm), the weatherman said.

The MeT Department has forecast thunderstorm with light to moderate rains at many places in east Rajasthan and at a few places in western part of the state over the weekend.
