The historical decision of scrapping Article 370 of the Constitution, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir, has paved the way for national integration, Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs Anurag Thakur said on Monday. In a tweet, Thakur stated: "Today's historic decision paves the way for a climate of hope without fear, sustainable policies, investment, jobs, industry and institutions that will benefit the people of Jammu and Kashmir."
"A new era has begun; next summer in Kashmir will bear fruits of this decision," he said. The union minister of state further said that Jammu and Kashmir was an integral part of India and under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a "new India" was rising.
"India is no longer bound by the shackles of history, this is a Modi Govt backed by a Billion ready to bite the Bullet and think out of the Box (sic)," he tweeted.
