Man attacked by leopard while clicking pictures

One person was injuredwhen a leopard attacked him while he was clicking pictures ofthe animal in West Bengal's Alipurduar district on Monday,Forest officials said

A leopard was found lying outside a tea garden afterit was hit by a vehicle while crossing road. Local peoplethought that the animal was dead and started clickingpictures. But the leopard suddenly got up and attacked a maninjuring him, the officials said

"The leopard was hit by a vehicle and was injured. Sowhen locals gathered he must have felt threatened and pouncedupon them. We have taken him to a nearby veterinary hospitalfor treatment," the forest official said.
