Bhajanpura building collapse: Students trapped; 13 fire tenders rush to spot

A building collapsed in the New Delhi's Bhajanpura area on Saturday, a Delhi Fire Service official said. An under-construction coaching center was being run in the building, he said, adding that some students are reportedly trapped inside.

The Fire Department received a call around 4.30 pm, following which seven fire tenders were rushed to Bhajanpura, the official said. Rescue operations are underway, he said.

Update 1: At least 12 students have been rescued from the building. 13 fire tenders have been rushed to Bhajanpura and the rescue operation is underway, DD News reported. 

Update 2: Five people, including four students, were killed when a floor of a building collapsed. 13 people have been shifted to a hospital, the officials said.
