UK Conservative Party disappointed at local election results - Party Chairman

The chairman of Britain's governing Conservative Party Greg Hands said on Friday that his party was disappointed by the projected results of local elections, which he said could see them lose up to 1,000 local council seats.

"We always said it would be a difficult night for the party. The independent forecasts are ... that we will lose 1,000 seats, so clearly we're disappointed," Hands told Times Radio.
