Malaysia files reply to Goldman Sachs' 1MDB arbitration request

Malaysia filed on Nov 8, 2023 a reply to an arbitration request by Goldman Sachs regarding the multi-billion dollar 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) corruption scandal, the chairman of the 1MDB asset recovery taskforce said on Tuesday, without specifying details.

The 1MDB taskforce is also considering initiating legal proceedings against foreign banks that facilitated fund transfers related to the sovereign fund, chairman Johari Abdul Ghani said.
