Japan ready to give assistance to Taiwan after quake, PM Kishida says

Japan stands ready to provide any assistance necessary to Taiwan following a massive earthquake on Wednesday, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida posted on his official account on X.
Kishida said on the social media platform that he was deeply saddened to hear about the earthquake and referred to Taiwan as Japan's "neighbor across the sea".
