Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal embarked on a poignant journey from his residence in Civil Lines to Raj Ghat on Sunday. This marks his first step before surrendering at Tihar jail later in the day.

During the day's symbolic engagements, Kejriwal will pay obeisance at Mahatma Gandhi's memorial at Raj Ghat, visit the historic Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, and address Aam Aadmi Party workers and leaders at their office.

Kejriwal was previously granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on May 10 in connection with a money laundering case linked to the Delhi excise policy scam, allowing him to campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. With the bail expiring on June 1, the date of the last phase of the elections, he must now return to prison.
