The BJP has secured victories in the Mandi and Kangra Lok Sabha seats, while also leading in the other two constituencies in Himachal Pradesh, as per Election Commission data.

In a significant win, Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut defeated Congress’s Vikramaditya Singh by 74,755 votes in Mandi. She garnered 5,37,002 votes against Singh’s 4,62,267. Singh is the sitting state Public Works Minister and son of six-time chief minister Virbhadra Singh.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur, seeking his fifth term from the Hamirpur seat, holds a lead of 1,82,357 votes over Congress’s Satpal Raizada, according to data on the Election Commission's website.

Expressing gratitude to the electorate, Thakur voiced optimism about the BJP-led NDA forming the government once again and thanked the people for a strong mandate in Himachal Pradesh.

In Kangra, BJP candidate Rajiv Bhardwaj triumphed by a margin of 2,51,895 votes, with his Congress rival Anand Sharma conceding defeat. Sharma, a former Union Minister, humbly accepted his loss and extended congratulations to Bhardwaj, emphasizing his admiration for the party leadership and the people he contested for.

In Shimla, sitting BJP MP and former state party president Suresh Kashyap leads by 90,548 votes over Congress candidate Vinod Sultanpuri. Kashyap remarked that the results align with exit polls and reflect the people's intention to elect Narendra Modi as prime minister for a third term.

State BJP chief Rajiv Bindal highlighted that the party's success came despite alleged misuse of power by the Congress government. Bindal labeled this a significant defeat for Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, pointing out the shortcomings of his 18-month tenure.

The counting of votes for four Lok Sabha seats and six assembly bypolls began at 8 am across 80 centers in Himachal Pradesh.

The assembly constituencies involved in the bypolls include Sujanpur, Dharamshala, Lahaul and Spiti, Barsar, Gagret, and Kutlehar.
