BJP Faces Major Setback in Marathwada: Loses All Contested Seats

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) suffered a significant setback in the Marathwada region by losing all four seats it contested. On the contrary, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) swept seven out of eight seats, amplifying its dominance, while the ruling Mahayuti managed only one victory.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has faced a significant defeat in Marathwada, losing all four seats it contested, including the Jalna seat where Union minister Raosaheb Danve suffered a loss.

In contrast, Maharashtra's ruling Mahayuti, managed only one win with Sandipan Bhumare securing a victory in the Lok Sabha poll. The Congress clinched all three seats it contested while the Shiv Sena (UBT) emerged victorious in three out of the four seats it fielded candidates.

Marathwada comprises eight parliamentary seats, out of which the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) won seven, underscoring the diminishing hold of the BJP-led alliance in the region.
