TMC Boycotts Modi's Swearing-In Ceremony

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has decided not to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. TMC leader in the Lok Sabha, Sudip Bandyopadhyay, confirmed the decision. TMC chief Mamata Banerjee expressed doubts about the NDA government completing its full term.

In a significant political move, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) announced its decision to skip Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony. Sudip Bandyopadhyay, TMC leader in the Lok Sabha, confirmed the party's stance.

Despite a personal invitation from BJP leader Prahlad Joshi, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee stated that the party would not participate.

Banerjee further expressed skepticism regarding the longevity of the NDA government, suggesting it may not complete its full term. The event, scheduled for Sunday at Rashtrapati Bhavan, will see Modi and his council of ministers taking their oaths. Key figures, including Santanu Thakur, are speculated to join the new cabinet amid TMC's boycott.
