Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, hailing from Burripalem, a small village in Andhra Pradesh, has become India's richest MP with family assets worth over Rs 5,700 crore. Sworn in as a minister of state in the NDA government, Sekhar's rise is extraordinary.

A medical doctor by profession, he has been a loyal member of the TDP, earning the trust of party supremo N Chandrababu Naidu. Defeating YSRCP's Kilari Venkata Rosaiah by a margin of over 3.4 lakh votes, he has secured his position in the union cabinet.

His journey from being a teacher-physician at Johns Hopkins University to establishing his own firm, UWorld, showcases his diverse talents. A graduate of Osmania Medical College and having completed his MD from Geisinger Medical Center, Sekhar has been actively supporting TDP's welfare programs since 2010.
