Aam Aadmi Party leader Somnath Bharti, who previously vowed to shave his head if Narendra Modi assumed the role of prime minister for a third time, has reneged on his promise.
Bharti argued that Modi's third term is not solely his achievement but the result of combined efforts from his allies within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). In a phone interview with PTI, Bharti clarified, ''I stated that I would shave my head if he were elected for a third term. However, he has not won on his own; he won with the support of his alliance.''
Despite Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor's demand for Bharti to shave his head immediately, Bharti stands firm on his position. Modi was sworn in for a third term on Sunday, matching Jawaharlal Nehru's historic record.
