Harsh Malhotra, who was recently sworn in as a Union minister of state under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government, represents a new wave in Delhi politics. Elected from East Delhi after replacing cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir, Malhotra defeated his opponent from the INDIA bloc by an impressive margin of 93,663 votes. His academic journey took him through Hansraj College and an LLB at the University of Delhi, equipping him with a robust foundation for his administrative roles.
Malhotra's tenure as Chairman of EDMC's Education Committee saw the successful execution of the ''Suposhan'' programme, eradicating malnutrition among primary students. He is also an advocate for the printing community as President of the Delhi Printers Association and a key figure in the All India Federation of Master Printers.
