After the ceremonial swearing-in of the third Modi government's council of ministers, speculation mounts on who will next lead the BJP. The current party president, J P Nadda, has joined the Cabinet.
In addition to Nadda, notable senior leaders like Bhupender Yadav, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Dharmendra Pradhan have also been sworn in as Cabinet ministers. Their appointments suggest the advent of a new face at the helm of the BJP.
Former ministers, absent from the new council, might also be considered for key roles within the party. Nadda, who took over from Amit Shah in January 2020, sees his extended term as BJP chief concluding this month.
