Congress Declares RSS and Bhagwat Irrelevant

The Congress claimed that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and its chief, Mohan Bhagwat, have become irrelevant, arguing that India's Constitution, democracy, and society no longer need their influence. This statement came after Bhagwat's comments on Manipur violence and the Lok Sabha elections, accusing Bhagwat of remaining silent on critical issues.

The Congress on Wednesday declared the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as 'irrelevant,' stating that the Indian Constitution, democracy, and society do not require the Sangh or its chief, Mohan Bhagwat, for their protection.

This assertion from the opposition followed Bhagwat's remarks on various issues, including the Manipur violence and the recent Lok Sabha elections. Congress media and publicity head Pawan Khera launched a scathing attack, accusing Bhagwat of remaining silent during critical incidents.

Khera highlighted instances such as the plight of farmers, the Hathras incident, the release of Bilkis Bano’s rapists, and violence against Dalits, holding Bhagwat accountable for his inaction. 'Your silence and Narendra Modi have rendered you irrelevant,' Khera said, criticizing Bhagwat for not speaking out when needed.
