BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari will have a crucial meeting with West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Thursday evening. During this encounter, Adhikari will advocate for alleged victims of post-poll violence, demanding justice to ensure their safe return home, according to a senior BJP official.
Reports indicate that post-poll violence, purportedly instigated by the TMC, has displaced thousands, forcing them into temporary camps arranged by the BJP. The leader stressed that Adhikari's efforts aim to urge the Governor to take immediate steps to deliver justice for these victims.
Nevertheless, the TMC has categorically denied the allegations, turning the tables by asserting that their party workers have faced attacks and displacement in regions where BJP emerged victorious. Notably, the Trinamool Congress secured a commanding 29 out of 42 Lok Sabha seats in West Bengal, while the BJP witnessed a decline, dropping to 12 seats from its previous 18 in 2019.
