Unanimous Decision: C Ayyannapatrudu to Be Elected Speaker of 16th Andhra Pradesh Assembly

Narsipatnam MLA C Ayyannapatrudu is set to be elected as the Speaker of the 16th Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. His election appears to be a formality as no other MLA filed a nomination against him. YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is expected to be absent due to prior commitments.

In a significant political development, TDP's Narsipatnam MLA, C Ayyannapatrudu, is poised to be unanimously elected as the Speaker of the 16th Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

The process appears to be a mere formality since no other contenders have emerged to challenge Ayyannapatrudu's nomination. Legislative Assembly Secretary General, PPK Ramacharyulu, confirmed that only three nominations were received, all in favor of Ayyannapatrudu.

Meanwhile, YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is unlikely to attend the Assembly session as he is scheduled for a three-day visit to Pulivendula in Kadapa district.
