The Maharashtra legislative council was adjourned three times on Tuesday following BJP member Pravin Darekar's objections to the alleged use of foul language by opposition leader Ambadas Danve. Darekar demanded a discussion over Danve's conduct, which stemmed from a response to BJP legislator Prasad Lad's comments on Rahul Gandhi's Lok Sabha remarks.

Deputy Chairperson Neelam Gorhe attempted to proceed with the Question Hour but was met with persistent interruptions from Darekar, who insisted that the legislative council's sanctity must be upheld, especially by the opposition leader. Gorhe emphasized the seriousness of the matter and suggested that a thorough review of the video evidence was necessary before making any decisions.

Refusing to back down, Darekar accused Danve of not only using inappropriate language in the House but also discussing the matter with the media, which he argued questioned the seriousness of Danve's behavior. The tense atmosphere led to multiple adjournments as Darekar threatened to disrupt proceedings until the issue was addressed.
