Modi Declares Last Phase of Terror Fight in Jammu and Kashmir

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Wednesday that the fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is nearing its conclusion, employing a comprehensive strategy to dismantle the remaining terror networks.

Addressing the Rajya Sabha, Modi highlighted a significant decline in terror incidents over the past decade. He remarked that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are playing a crucial role in combating terrorism and separatism.

'Our fight against terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is in its final stage,' Modi stated. 'We are implementing a multi-pronged approach to eradicate the remaining elements of terror.'

Responding to the Motion of Thanks on the President's address, Modi reflected on the challenges faced by the region due to shutdowns, strikes, and terrorist threats over the years. He expressed optimism about the growing faith in democracy and the Constitution among the citizens.

Modi also pointed out the surge in tourism and investments, alongside record-breaking voter turnout in recent elections, attributing these developments to the abrogation of Section 370 in August 2019 by the BJP-led NDA government, which revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
