Rajeev Bindal, the President of the BJP in Himachal Pradesh, slammed Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday for allegedly spending crores of rupees and involving the entire state government in the by-elections campaign, yet failing to secure a win in his home district of Hamirpur.

Of the three assembly seats contested in the bypolls, the ruling Congress managed to secure victories in Dehra and Nalagarh, while the BJP clinched the Hamirpur constituency. Bindal stated that despite Sukhu's seven-day effort on the streets, his party lost in Hamirpur.

In his statement, Bindal accused the Congress of winning the bypolls in Dehra and Nalagarh by resorting to threats, offering temptations, and misusing government machinery. He further alleged that the people of Himachal Pradesh are aware of the government's involvement in large-scale corruption, claiming to have evidence of the same.
