Congress general secretary in-charge of Assam, Jitendra Singh, arrived on a three-day visit aimed at bolstering the party's organizational strength and expanding outreach among the public. Singh was welcomed at the airport by state party president Bhupen Kumar Borah and other prominent leaders.
Shortly after his arrival, Singh, accompanied by Borah and others, visited Mayong in Morigaon district to meet flood-hit residents and assess the situation.
The visit's primary objective is to evaluate the party's grassroots presence, strengthen the organizational base, and prepare for future endeavors. Singh will also hold meetings with various party leaders and office-bearers before returning to New Delhi.
