US President Joe Biden admitted in a recent NBC News interview that his use of the phrase 'bull's-eye' in reference to Republican nominee Donald Trump was a 'mistake.'
Biden emphasized that his intention was to highlight Trump's incendiary rhetoric, calling it a real threat to democracy. 'It was a mistake to use the word,' Biden told NBC anchor Lester Holt, adding that the focus should be on 'what he's saying.'
He also stressed that he does not engage in such rhetoric, unlike Trump, who has made aggressive statements in the past, such as threatening a 'bloodbath' if he loses the election.
