Biden posted on X, stating his intention to speak “on what lies ahead” and reaffirming how he plans to “finish the job for the American people.” His address is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
Returning to the White House on Tuesday after isolation at his Rehoboth Beach, Delaware home due to a COVID-19 diagnosis, Biden has not been seen publicly since July 17. He dialed into a campaign meeting on Monday to express support for Vice President Kamala Harris' bid for president, a day after announcing his exit from the race.
