BJP leader CR Kesavan has strongly criticized the opposition parties for boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Labeling the boycott as 'dangerous, divisive federalism,' Kesavan accused the opposition of betraying the spirit of cooperative federalism and using states and their people as political tools.

'This is not just irresponsible or untenable, but also undemocratic,' Kesavan said in a video statement. He contrasted Prime Minister Modi's nation-first priority with the opposition's focus on hatred, particularly targeting the INDI alliance and Congress.

'While PM Modi aims to set aside differences and build a consensus for the nation's well-being, the opposition indulges in confrontational and negative politics,' Kesavan noted. Despite most opposition leaders boycotting, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee made a surprising appearance at the meet to protest against political discrimination towards Bengal.
