AAP Deems Central Probe Failures as Proof of Innocence in Excise Policy Case
The AAP strongly denies allegations in the excise policy case as the CBI files its final charge sheet against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal. Despite extensive investigations by BJP-led agencies, no evidence has been found implicating AAP members. The party views this as a political witch-hunt, claiming Kejriwal’s health is deteriorating due to frequent incarcerations.

On Monday, the AAP asserted that central probe agencies have failed to produce any evidence in the excise policy case, reaffirming it as a 'staunchly honest' party. This statement followed the CBI's final charge sheet submission in the trial court against Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and other AAP members.
The BJP and its agencies have scrutinized this case for two years, filing extensive charge sheets and interrogating numerous witnesses while conducting multiple raids, the AAP stated. 'Despite these efforts, no evidence has been found against the AAP and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, because we are staunchly honest people,' it claimed.
Kejriwal has been granted bail multiple times by both the trial court and the Supreme Court. The party accused the BJP of a witch-hunt to ensnare as many AAP leaders as possible. Kejriwal was arrested by the CBI while in judicial custody and by the ED in a related money laundering case. The excise policy was scrapped in 2022 after alleged irregularities prompted a CBI probe.
