Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday urged the government to extend all possible help to the victims of the landslides that devastated Wayanad. Addressing the Calling Attention Motion on the loss of lives and properties due to landslides and floods across the country, Gandhi highlighted the gravity of the disaster in Kerala's Wayanad.

Gandhi praised the military's efforts in the region and emphasized the importance of ongoing support for Wayanad's residents. He called on the government to provide substantial assistance during this critical period.

Raising concerns about the area's ecological vulnerabilities, Gandhi noted that similar tragedies have occurred before. He urged the Centre to develop high-tech solutions to prevent future calamities.
