The Election Commission has set forth a timeline for updating and publishing Maharashtra's electoral rolls ahead of the assembly polls this October.
Pre-revision activities began on June 25 and continue through August 5, including house-to-house surveys and rectification of voter data, according to an EC release.
Draft rolls will be unveiled on August 6, with a window for claims and objections open until August 20. Final rolls will be published on August 30. Maharashtra is set to elect representatives for its 288 assembly seats in the upcoming polls.
