In a fierce race for campaign donations, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump raised $138.7 million in July, trailing behind Democratic rival Kamala Harris, who secured over $200 million in the week after announcing her candidacy.

The former president, now 78, has $327 million in cash on hand. Trump, on his social media platform Truth Social, credited the MAGA Movement for the robust financial support. "Spectacular support from Great American Patriots who are donating to our Campaign for President of the United States, and helping out in many other ways," he stated.

Controversies continue to swirl around Trump. At a convention of Black journalists, Trump made racially insensitive comments questioning Harris' identity, implying she was only recently emphasizing her Black heritage for political gain. This misstep occurs as Trump's campaign calls for an investigation into Harris campaign finances.
