Uddhav Thackeray, the chief of Shiv Sena (UBT), asserted on Wednesday that the recent developments in Bangladesh serve as a global reminder of the preeminence of the populace. He emphasized that rulers should heed the patience of their citizens.
In a pointed address to reporters, Thackeray challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene and safeguard Hindus facing persecution in Bangladesh.
'If Prime Minister Modi could halt the war in Ukraine, he should enact similar measures in Bangladesh to protect the Hindus,' Thackeray urged. He also noted parallel instances of civic unrest in Israel and Sri Lanka.
Thackeray's visit to the national capital involves meetings with leaders from the INDIA bloc to strategize for the upcoming assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Jharkhand.
