President Joe Biden voiced his concerns on Wednesday, stating he doubts a peaceful transfer of power in the U.S. if Republican Donald Trump loses the November 5 presidential election.

"If Trump loses, I'm not confident at all," Biden remarked in a CBS News interview. He emphasized that Trump appears serious about his claims of potential post-election violence, adding, "All this stuff about if we lose there'd be a bloodbath."

Previously, Trump warned of a "bloodbath" during a campaign appearance in Ohio this March if he failed to secure reelection. He later claimed he was referring to the U.S. auto industry. Trump has also falsely stated he won the 2020 election against Biden, which led to criminal charges in Washington, D.C., and Georgia for allegedly attempting to overturn the election results.

Biden recently dropped out of the campaign after calls from fellow Democrats, following a poor debate performance. Vice President Kamala Harris has since taken the Democratic nomination to run against Trump.
