Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed concern on Saturday over the rising number of terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, criticizing the Modi government's national security policy. Kharge urged for concrete steps to be taken rather than engaging in self-praise.
His remarks came after a deadly encounter in Anantnag district left two Army personnel dead and six others injured. Despite the challenging terrain, operations to hunt down the terrorists continued.
In a social media post, Kharge saluted the bravery of the martyred soldiers and offered condolences to their families. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also mourned the loss and wished for the quick recovery of those injured.
